The purpose of the Register of Drivers of Road Vehicles of the Republic of Lithuania is to record objects, collect, accumulate, process, systemise, store and provide Register data and documents to natural and legal persons, as well as to perform other operations related to Register data management.
The Register’s purpose of managing personal data is accounting of drivers of road motor vehicles and driving licenses.
Register data suppliers are nationals of the Republic of Lithuania, foreign nationals or persons without citizenship willing to obtain or holding driving licenses issued in the Republic of Lithuania.
The Register is managed in compliance with the Law on State Registers of the Republic of Lithuania.
The Register shall provide natural persons with data processed in the Register which concerns these persons free of charge once in a calendar year.
Associated registers shall be provided with data in accordance with data provision contracts. Tax administration and law and order authorities shall be provided with data for the performance of their direct functions.
Register data shall be provided to legal and natural persons of EU member states in accordance with the same procedure established for the provision of such data to legal and natural persons of the Republic of Lithuania.
Register data shall be provided to legal and natural persons outside the EU in conformity with the laws, other legislation and international treaties of the Republic of Lithuania.
